1. Acceptance of These Terms

Welcome to Moving Ahead Purposefully ("MAP," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website, or by making a donation to MAP, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or make a donation.
 

2. About MAP

MAP is a nonprofit organization serving widows and widowers through travel based grief support programs. Our mission is to help widowed individuals move ahead purposefully into a new season of life. MAP is faith rooted in its founding and organizational identity, and our programs are open to all individuals regardless of belief.
 

3. Our Programs

MAP is in the process of building out four programs. At this time, MAP is accepting donations to support this work. Program offerings, timelines, availability, and eligibility requirements are subject to change as MAP develops its operations.

Destination We take widowed individuals on the trip they had planned with their spouse and never got to take.

Waypoint We offer travel escapes built around the hardest days on the calendar, such as birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays.

​

Navigation We offer small group trips exclusively for the widowed, traveling together with others who understand what they are carrying.

​

Compass We offer retreats in beautiful locations, a place to rest, reconnect, and find one's bearings.

​

MAP does not conduct trips to destinations subject to U.S. government travel restrictions, comprehensive OFAC sanctions, or significant documented safety or security concerns.

Details on how to apply for or participate in these programs, including eligibility criteria and selection processes, will be published as each program becomes available.

4. Donations

All donations made to MAP are voluntary and are processed through our third party payment processor, Zeffy. MAP does not directly collect or store your payment card information.

Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact us at info@movingaheadpurposefully.org and we will review the request.

Tax-Exempt Status. MAP has applied for recognition of tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and that application is currently pending with the IRS. Until MAP receives a formal determination letter, we cannot guarantee that donations are tax-deductible. We recommend consulting your own tax advisor regarding the deductibility of any contribution, and we will update this page once our exempt status is confirmed.
 

5. No Guarantee of Services

MAP is a young organization and our programs are still being developed. Nothing on this website is a guarantee that any specific trip, retreat, or service will be available at any particular time. MAP reserves the right to modify, delay, limit, or discontinue any program at its discretion.
 

6. Assumption of Risk (Future Travel Programs)

When MAP's travel and retreat programs become available, participation will involve inherent risks associated with travel, including but not limited to transportation, lodging, physical activity, health conditions, and unfamiliar environments. Participants in any future MAP program will be asked to review and sign a separate participation agreement and waiver prior to travel, which will set out these risks and terms in detail.
 

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MAP, its board members, officers, volunteers, and representatives are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or your participation in any MAP program, except as otherwise required by law or set out in a separate written agreement.
 

8. Website Content

The content on this website, including text, images, and program descriptions, is provided for general informational purposes and belongs to MAP unless otherwise noted. You may not reproduce or distribute this content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
 

9. Third-Party Links and Services

Our website may use or link to third party services, including Zeffy for payment processing. MAP is not responsible for the practices or content of third party websites or services. Please review their own terms and privacy policies.
 

10. Privacy

Information collected through this website, including donor and contact information, is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy [LINK, if applicable]. MAP does not sell donor information to third parties.
 

11. Changes to These Terms
