Our Programs

Losing a spouse doesn't just mean losing a person. It means losing a partner, a shared future, and inheriting a calendar full of days that used to feel like celebrations and now just feel like weight.

Moving Ahead Purposefully (MAP) was built for exactly that reality.

We are a nonprofit charity that believes grief doesn’t have to be the last stop. Through travel, community, and renewed hope, we help widowed individuals find their footing again.

We serve widows and widowers through four programs:

A man in a yellow hoodie sits on a rocky ledge overlooking a deep canyon, gazing at a river winding far below between towering rock walls, with a backpack resting beside him.

“That trip” one never got to take with their spouse

Two women sit side by side on a stone seawall with their backs to the camera, looking out over a calm bay toward distant hills and a waterfront city skyline.

Escapes on the days that hurt most

A small group of five travelers stands at a stone overlook, taking in a sweeping view of a coastal old town with orange rooftops, a harbor full of small boats, and the sea stretching out beyond it.
